faux pas Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of faux pas, operated by Studio Undisturbed.

1. Accepting these terms

By using faux pas, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Apple's Standard End User License Agreement also applies to an App Store download unless a different license is expressly provided.

2. What the service provides

faux pas provides Korean dictation, final-consonant, loanword, and spacing exercises, together with answer comparison, short explanations, Notes, learning progress, and practice recommendations.

Exercises, explanations, classifications, and audio may be corrected, replaced, or updated through the server to improve learning quality. We do not guarantee that a fixed number of exercises or a particular exercise will remain available permanently.

3. Free access and Premium

• Levels 1–10 are available free of charge.
• Premium unlocks learning content in Levels 11–99.
• Premium is offered as a monthly or annual auto-renewable subscription.
• The products, localized prices, billing periods, and any offer that applies are shown in the app and Apple's purchase sheet before you buy.

Premium access and learning progress are separate. Buying Premium does not increase your level, restore learning history, or guarantee a score, learning result, or exam outcome.

4. Payment and automatic renewal

Apple processes payment through the payment method associated with your Apple Account. A subscription renews automatically for the selected period unless you cancel it through your App Store subscription settings. Apple displays the applicable renewal date and price.

Plan changes, price changes, billing retry, purchase approval, and Family Sharing availability, if any, are governed by the conditions displayed by Apple and applicable law. A free trial or discount exists only when it is expressly shown before purchase.

5. Restoration, cancellation, and refunds

Use Profile → Restore Purchases to ask Apple to recheck an active subscription. Purchase restoration does not restore deleted learning history, Notes, or a display name.

Removing the app, resetting learning data, or deleting the anonymous account does not cancel a subscription or request a refund. Manage or cancel a subscription in Apple subscription settings. Request a refund through Apple's Report a Problem website. Cancellation and refund requests are separate actions, and your mandatory consumer rights remain unchanged.

6. Learning records and your content

Learning history, Notes, and your display name are stored locally and are not synced to our server. Changing devices, removing the app, resetting data, or losing a backup can result in loss of those records.

You keep your rights in answers and Notes you create. Using faux pas does not give Studio Undisturbed permission to publish them or use them in advertising.

7. Learning content, levels, and automation

Sentences, explanations, answers, classifications, and audio can contain mistakes introduced during source preparation, review, or automated production. If you find a suspected error or a context in which another answer should be accepted, contact Support so we can review it.

Scores, levels, and recommendations are learning aids based on faux pas's own practice system. They are not TOPIK levels, an official Korean-proficiency assessment, or a professional certification.

8. Responsible use

Do not misuse the service, attempt unauthorized access, falsify purchases or access rights, bypass security, interfere with availability, submit unlawful or infringing material, or redistribute protected app content except where applicable law permits it.

9. Availability and changes

Network access, device capability, operating-system support, available content, and service status can affect feature availability. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary for security, incident response, legal compliance, content correction, or product development. We will provide any notice required by applicable law for a material change.

10. Disclaimers and responsibility

faux pas is provided as a learning aid. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free content, a particular score, fluency, or success in an exam or other setting. Nothing in these terms excludes responsibilities or rights that cannot legally be excluded.

11. Privacy

The faux pas Privacy Policy explains how information is processed. The Data Deletion page explains the difference between resetting local learning data and deleting the automatically created account.

12. Apple terms

If you download faux pas from Apple's App Store, Apple's applicable App Store terms also apply. Apple processes purchases, subscription management, and refund requests. Apple is not responsible for providing faux pas support.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without depriving you of mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.

14. Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the service changes. We will update the effective date and provide any notice or consent required by applicable law.
