Studio Undisturbed operates faux pas, a Korean writing-practice app. This policy explains what information the app processes, why it is used, where it is stored, and the choices available to you.

1. Information stored on your device

faux pas does not require an email address, password, or real name. The display name in Profile is optional.

Your display name, app preferences, submitted answers, scores, error types, practice history, progress, replay activity, current practice session, and saved Notes are stored on your device. This learning data is not uploaded to the faux pas server or synced between devices.

Your device's backup settings are controlled by Apple and by you. A copy may remain in an existing iCloud or computer backup even after you reset data inside the app.

2. Information processed by our servers

The service processes only the server information needed to deliver content and manage subscriptions:

Automatically created anonymous user and session identifiers.
Apple app-transaction, transaction, original-transaction, product, and purchase-linking identifiers.
Subscription state, expiry or revocation time, verification time, and cryptographic hashes used to validate Apple-signed information.
Content and audio request timing, request counts, error codes, and technical connection or security logs needed to operate and protect the service.

Apple processes App Store payments. faux pas does not receive or store your payment-card number or Apple Account password. The app does not record microphone audio, upload microphone audio, or use information for advertising or cross-app tracking.

3. How we use information

We use server information to authenticate content requests without asking you to create a login, deliver exercises and prepared audio, verify and restore Premium access, reflect renewals, expiry, refunds, and revocations, prevent duplicate or abusive requests, investigate errors, and protect the service.

We do not sell personal information and do not use it for third-party targeted advertising.

4. Practice recommendations and audio

Practice recommendations are calculated from learning information stored on your device. Supported Apple on-device capabilities may assist the recommendation process; your answers and Notes are not sent to an external generative-AI service for recommendation.

Published listening exercises normally use pre-generated Korean AI speech produced before the exercise is delivered. xAI may be used as a content-production tool for that prepared audio. If a prepared audio file is unavailable, the app may use Apple's on-device Korean speech as a fallback. The app does not send your answers, Notes, or microphone recordings to xAI or another speech provider.

5. Service providers and international processing

We use service providers only to operate faux pas:

Apple — App Store distribution, StoreKit purchases and subscription management, device backups you enable, and TestFlight feedback you choose to submit.
Supabase — anonymous authentication, exercise and audio delivery, and subscription-access records.
Vercel — server-side verification of transaction information signed by Apple.
Support email provider — receiving, storing, and replying to messages you send to us.

The active Supabase database and the Vercel verification function use a Seoul region. Provider support, security, routing, and backup infrastructure may process related information in other countries. Where required, we use the contractual and legal safeguards applicable to that processing.

6. Retention

Learning data remains on your device until you reset it, remove the app, or manage the relevant device backup.

If an anonymous account has been created, it remains until you use Delete Account & Data. That action deletes the automatically created Supabase Auth user, revokes the current server connection and linked sessions, and deletes incomplete purchase-attempt records.

Limited pseudonymous transaction records and restoration identifiers may be retained while needed for subscription restoration, refunds, disputes, fraud prevention, transaction integrity, accounting, audit, or applicable legal obligations. Technical logs and support messages are kept only as long as reasonably needed for security, troubleshooting, support, or applicable legal requirements, then deleted or de-identified.

7. Your choices and rights

In Profile → Settings, you can:

Use Reset Learning Data to remove learning history and Notes from this device while keeping your display name and server account.
Use Delete Account & Data to remove local learning history, Notes, the display name, and the automatically created server account and connection.

Deleting app data or the anonymous account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Subscription cancellation is handled in your App Store subscription settings.

You may contact hello@undisturbed.studio to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or another privacy right available where you live. Because faux pas does not use email-based registration, your email address alone may not identify a particular anonymous app session. Never send us your Apple Account password, verification code, card number, or app authentication token.

8. Support and feedback

If you email us, we process your reply address, message, and any screenshots or files you choose to send so we can investigate and respond. Hide unrelated personal information before attaching a screenshot.

If you submit TestFlight feedback, Apple may provide the report and any screenshot you chose to attach. We use it only to investigate issues and improve the app.

9. Security

We use encrypted connections, restricted credentials, Apple-signed purchase verification, access controls, and row-level database security. No system can guarantee absolute security.

10. Children

faux pas is a general-audience learning tool. It does not require a real name, email address, location, contact list, or microphone recording. A parent or guardian may contact us about a child's information or request using the address above. Local age and consent requirements continue to apply.

11. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the service changes. We will update the effective date and provide any notice or consent required by applicable law.
